Latest update from the Co Board

A Rúnaí, a chara,

As I am sure you are aware there have been a number of identified Covid 19 cases in the county which have affected some of our games. The most recent of these was a juvenile game from last week and when we were unable to provide required details to the HSE for contact tracing purposes, a decision was taken by the HSE to stand down all players on both teams involved in the fixture. The HSE also requested that all players to be tested, and to isolate for 14 days from the day of the gameThe HSE will most likely use this approach in the future, and this may have a severe impact on all GAA activity over the next few weeks. However, in order to mitigate this risk, we ask all clubs to re-double their efforts over the next number of weeks. We ask Chairpersons and Secretaries to ensure:

  1. All players, and parents/guardians of underage players, complete the "Return to Play questionnaire" prior to each training session and game.
  2. Please ensure team lists are correctly completed and handed to the referee prior to the start of each game. Also, please hold opponent's team lists should they be required for contract tracing purposes.
  3. Dressing rooms remain closed for club training sessions and games - players should arrive to the ground togged out and ready for warm-up and leave when their game or training session is completed.
Water bottles and other equipment must not be shared.
  4. Please ensure that adequate hand sanitisers are available at your grounds
  5. Club gyms must remain closed.
  6. Indoor meetings are not permitted. (Maximum 15 people for an outdoor meeting).
